NZXT has already launched its Whisper, Guardian 921, Khaos and Tempest chassis in 2008, but it's managing to squeeze in one more, a successor to 2007's Zero.

The inconspicuously-titled Zero 2, pictured below and priced at $99.99, carries over the customisable-cooling system approach with room for seven 120mm fans and three 80mm fans.The full-tower steel chassis measures 210.5mm x 532mm x 536mm and weighs 10.2kgs. Inside, there's room for a total 13 drive bays - includingfive external 5.25in, two external 3.5in and six internal 3.5in, all of which provide screwless installation.

The USB 3.0 Promoter Group announced the completion of the USB 3.0 specification, the technical map for device manufacturers to deliver SuperSpeed USB technology to the market.

SuperSpeed USB brings significant power and performance enhancements to the popular USB standard while offering backward compatibility with USB-enabled PCs and peripheral devices currently in use. Although Steve Jobs has decided to skip the use of Blu-ray for Apple MacBooks, accessory makers still consider the high-end drive as an important peripheral for the Macbook family.Amex Digital has announced the launch of the Portable Blu-ray Super Multi Drive to allow MacBook users to watch or play Blu-ray disc.

This external unit connects easily to MacBook products through a USB 2.0 cable. The Blu-ray is compatible with the BD single and double-layer media along with DVD±RW discs.

It is said that the BD-RE / -R (single-layer) discs can burn at 2x, while dual-layer versions would burn at 1x and the blank DVDs burns at a rate of 4x to 8x.To charge the Blu-ray system, users need to use a USB cable or a power adapter.

The BDP-2 Blu-ray player carries a price tag of $289 (approx. Rs. 14,078) and the BDR-2 Blu-ray recorder costs $389 (approx. Rs. 18,950).

We expected LG’s new 6x external Blu-ray burner to perform similarly to the company’s GBW-H20L internal offering, what with the two having identical read/write speed ratings, but we were wrong. The external drive is a bigger, more expensive letdown.
Like the GBW-H20L, the BE06 external model boasts an industry-leading 6x BD-R write rating. And here the latter performed accordingly, writing 22GB of data to a single-layer BD-R disc in a brisk 22:43 (min:sec)In BD-RE writes, however, the BE06 faltered—badly. Boasting the same 2x rating for rewriteable media as the GBW-H20L, the BE06 took more than twice as long as that drive to write 22GB of data to a BD-RE disc—a full hour and 28 minutes! That’s actually slower than just about any Blu-ray burner we’ve tested in recent memory. Not good.

The BE06 redeemed itself with DVD-R writes. The drive is rated at 16x and was able to write 4.38GB to a single-layer disc in 5:42—a second faster than the LG GBW-H20L. The drives were as closely matched on DVD-R reads.

While there’s something to be said for the convenience of an external drive with a USB 2.0 interface, this is offset by the BE06’s gargantuan size. The enclosure is nearly 3 inches longer and an inch wider than its internal brethren—and $100 more expensive. Blu-ray is a tough enough sell as it is without tacking on this drive’s compromises. We’re unimpressed.

Buffalo’s 500GB DriveStation Combo 4 external drive is the fastest USB drive we’ve ever tested, and it even holds its own on an eSATA connection. That’s thanks to a propriety technology called TurboUSB that squeaks additional speeds out of the device. On Windows XP, a DriveStation connected with TurboUSB improved its synthetic read and write speeds by 20 percent (even though its burst speeds confused our benchmark) over a typical USB connection. The device’s real-world speeds weren’t as dramatic—a mere four percent increase—but it was an improvement nonetheless.We didn’t see any real-world performance improvement between the two modes in Windows Vista because TurboUSB is built into the operating system itself. We’d definitely use this device on XP, but it’s a wash with Vista.

The DriveStation comes with Memeo AutoBackup software and a full-disk security utility that conceals your drive under 128- or 256-bit AES encryption. The latter program’s lock and unlock shortcuts for the encryption mechanism are mislabeled, but we were more bothered that it accepted our password via USB but rejected it over eSATA.

Minus these quirks, the DriveStation is a fine external storage product. It’s not blazing a speed trail on its eSATA connection, but it stuffs the USB pipe.

I mentioned a while back that Motorola and Kodak were planning on launching a 5 megapixel camera phone sometime soon and although it’s not yet completely official a few images of the device have been leaked and according to the grapevine the handset is going to be called the ZN5.
Apart from the obvious camera of 5 megapixels (auto-focus natch) it would also have a Xenon flash and a secondary LED for video. This cameraphone would also be able to capture images in RAW format, which is not something to sneeze at. The ZN5 is also said to be quite a slim handset at about 11.8mm thick and will come equipped with a 3.5mm earphone socket, TV out and USB (hopefully not proprietary in any way) slot. It will run on a Linux based OS probably like the MING and should also have a keypad similar to the ROKR E8 which changes according to the features.There's still no pricing or official release date for the handset, so stay tuned.

This is the major query i saw in our forum , USB Devices like i-pod,pen drives e.t.c; brings viruses/worms which are bad since it disables a lot of features as well as it ruins memory the slows down the whole thing. It disables much of the removal process like Windows RegEdit.exe, MsConfig.exe and also TaskMan.exe. Variations of these also disables your keyboard during normal booting, floods your disk with virus files in the root directory and also the windows directory and some also floods your directory with Folder looking icons that is an executable..

So heres my tip in avoiding this:

1st: Always make all files visible like system and also hidden files with their extension shown.
Go to Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Option > View
* Enable Show Hidden File
* Disable Hide Extensions for know file type
* Disable Hide Protected OS files.2nd: Never Use the Autorun functionality in Windows
whenever you put a disk(flash, memory card, usb drive devices and other form of removable drive) it is always a practice to scan it first. but to avoid being the first to be infected by a wild one, always use Windows Explorer to browse the files. Use the left side(Folder Window), to browse the files. Whenever you see an autorun.inf file, delete it! remove the disk and insert it again to avoid clicking it.

3rd: Always update Virus database!
