Microsoft to rename Live Search

The research on the Internet remains a major challenge for Microsoft and yet, the Redmond company does not appear to have found its way. Given that Google has more than 80% of the market and Yahoo!. that flirts with the 11%, Microsoft had tried several strategies but none of them has proved fruitful. So why not again?

The current Live Search engine, launched in May 2006 to replace MSN Search, does not seem convinced. Moreover, the requests through the MSN portal are more important than Live Search. To revitalize its strategy, Microsoft has tried alternatives such as paying people to make complaints with Live Search Cashback. Then the Microsoft case-Yahoo! took a new turn and Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, appeared more interested in a partnership in research on the Internet rather than by an aggregate redemption of the portal.Last August, the first rumors emerged that Live Search may eventually change its name to something more friendly and more attractive for the user. A Redmond, employees focused on the issue and some names were chosen, namely: Bing, Hook and Kumo.

According to several sources, Microsoft is finally arrested on Kumo, a Japanese word meaning cloud or spider. This change of name, if he had any, make it to Microsoft to rejuvenate its search engine? There is less safe, but low market share to Microsoft engine leaves sufficient room to try a new name.

HTC P4350 in the Indian market

HTC has launched its latest quad-band PDA phone HTC P4350 in the Indian market. At 17mm thick, it features a semi-automatic sliding QWERTY keypad.

The P4350 features Windows Mobile 6.0 Direct push-email technology, internet browsing, and synchronization with Microsoft Outlook calendar, contacts, pocket MSN, and is powered by a 200MHz processor. It also provides the ability to work on Microsoft Office suite. Weighing 168 grams, the slim and compact device has a 2.8-inch colour display with a touch-screen and a landscape view screen for checking emails, surfing the internet, and watching videos. It also comes with a 5-way navigation control and packs 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM. For connectivity, the device supports GSM/GPRS and EDGE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Check its complete specifications here.

The HTC P4350 will be available at all authorized resellers at a market operating price of Rs. 21,900.

Creating E-mail Folders

Do you receive countless e-mails on a daily basis? Are some of those e-mails interesting, important or just something you would like to come back to later? If so, wouldn't you like to categorize them, without having to mark them as Old, Keep As New, Unmark, Unread, etc.? Or, what if you accidentally deleted some of them? Or, even worse, lose them. I mean, who has time to deal with all of that?!

Well, now you can make new folders to manage and organize all of your e-mails. That way, you won’t have to flood your Inbox and all your other folders with uncategorized e-mail. Cool, huh?!

For instance, I made a folder called "WorldStart" for all of their articles and updates. I put all of the articles and newsletters I receive from WorldStart in that folder. That way, I don’t have to go searching for them in all of my other e-mail folders. I can go right to that folder and find everything I need. It’s all in one place! So, if that sounds like something you'd like to do as well, keep reading. Below you will find instructions on how to do that in AOL, Yahoo! and Gmail. Okay, let's get started! AOL

First, log in to your AOL e-mail account, open up your e-mail mailbox and click on the Manage Mail tab.
Next, click the Save On AOL title, followed by the Setup Folders arrow and then click on Create a Folder. A little box will then come up. In the Name New Folder text box, go ahead and type in the name of the new folder you would like to use. For example again, I named my new folder "WorldStart." When you're done, click Save.
Your new folder will then appear in the My Mail Folders list.
