Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd and Symbian Limited today announced the Samsung INNOV8, equipped with high-end features and multimedia including an 8-megapixel camera, internet browsing and ergonomics.INNOV8 is based on Symbian OS v9.3, bringing the highest level of power efficiency, platform security and phone performance. It includes demand paging, an OS component which enables shorter start-up times for applications and advanced memory management resulting in more responsive applications and phone features. This ensures INNOV8 works as quickly as mid-range phones only with better quality features suitable for consumers who want more from their handset.

This is Samsung's eighth mobile phone based on Symbian OS , the open operating system for mobile phones. Samsung INNOV8 will be available in Europe from August 2008.
