XFX seems to be ready with its initial lineup of graphics cards. Some European retailers have even begun listing their products and pricing. While there's nothing really interesting about the way XFX is pricing its cards, the way it's cards seem to be certainly interesting. Pictured below are its first two models based on the ATI Radeon HD 4850 and HD 4870 graphics processors. Some surprises: Both use black coloured PCB, neither are 100% reference ATI design, and in fact, XFX designed its own cooler for the Radeon HD 4850 512 MB (model: XFX HD485X-YDFC). The Radeon HD 4870 in the picture is the 1 GB variant (model: HD487A-ZDFC). Bothaccelerators use AMD reference clock speeds. These cards will be released within the first two weeks of this month. More information as we come across.

The introduction of the XFX X58i Motherboard is loaded with firsts, all of which are good for XFX enthusiasts worldwide.First, the XFX X58i Motherboard launches the XFX/Intel® enthusiast chipset motherboard. As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that its customers receive the best product options available, XFX has integrated state-of-the-art Intel® technology into this product.
Another first involves the XFX X58i motherboard supporting the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor. The Core i7 are the first processors to be released using the Intel Nehalem architecture. The Intel Core i7 chip succeeds the popular Intel Core 2 family and represents the largest architectural change in the Intel x86 family since the Pentium Pro in 1985.
Additionally, the XFX X58i is the first motherboard to support Intel LGA 1366 processors and the only motherboard to support either NVIDIA 3-Way SLI or ATI CrossFireX, which allows two or more discrete graphics cards to work together to improve system performance and creating a substantial visual gamingexperience. Also featuring Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, Intel® Quick Path Interconnect (QPI), making the XFX X58i Motherboard truly unique and amazingly agile.
Hyper-Threading Technology allows each of the four cores to process two threads simultaneously, so the processor appears to the operating system as eight CPUs.
Intel®’s Turbo Boost Technology, automatically allows processor cores to run faster than the base operating frequency if it's operating below power, current, and temperature specification limits.
The Intel Quick Path Interconnect (QPI) technology, the successor to FSB, provides point-to-point high-speed links to distributed shared memory, and unleashes the parallel processing performance of the Nehalem architecture.
The XFX X58i motherboard supports Tri-Channel DDR3 Memory Architecture delivers up to 32.1 GB/s (10.7 GB/s per channel with DDR3 1333) of bandwidth and 12 GB memory addressability to ensure that data and information is transferred throughout the system as quickly as possible.
Additional features include Silent Heatpipe Cooling Technology, PCI Express 2.0, Dual BIOS, and Premium 8-Channel High Definition Audio (HDA).

As enthusiasts, we aren't too fond of the idea of running a PC with integrated video. Like many of you, we prefer a discreet video card for the performance benefits, even if it has to be an entry-level solution. Despite that fact, though, most of the monitors in homes and offices across the world are connected to IGPs, and not to dedicated video cards. We love the latest flagship graphics cards as much as the next enthusiast, but we aren't completely impractical. We realize that integrated video is more than sufficient for the majority of users who spend 99% of their time surfing the web, e-mailing, blogging, shopping or playing 2D games like Solitaire.
Today, we are going to take a look at a motherboard for the Intel platform from XFX that offers an integrated video solution. The naming of this board skipped the creative department at XFX and went straight to the dry model number assigning team; the end result is the MG-630I-7159.The board is a micro-ATX solution based on the NVIDIA nForce 630i MCP and GeForce 7150 mGPU. This board sports Intel's LGA775 socket and support for the Core 2, Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron D CPU families. It features 1333 MHz front-side bus (FSB) support and will accept up to 4GB of 800 MHz DDR2 memory, which runs in single-channel mode (unfortunately). On the video side of things, XFX's implementation of the GeForce 7150 GPU boasts a 650 MHz core clock, support for up to 256MB of memory, DirectX 9 Shader Model 3.0 support and three outputs (HDMI, DVI and VGA).
