Virgin Mobile, the youth-focused mobile services brand from Tata Teleservices, has introduced an offer that allows Virgin Mobile to Virgin Mobile calling at 10 paise per minute for a monthly commitment of Rs. 28.

This tariff package is available through a vPower recharge voucher.M. A. Madhusudan, Chief Executive Officer, Virgin Mobile India said "Our research shows that youth have a high propensity to consume mobile services and are looking for a solution that gives them the flexibility to talk to their peers at rates that are pocket friendly. At 10 paise per minute for just Rs. 28, Virgin Mobile to Virgin Mobile has lowered the bar for mobility yet again."

With Virgin Mobile to Virgin Mobile outgoing calls being priced at 10 paise per minute, customers can call their peers within the Virgin Mobile network virtually for free because of the Get Paid to Receive (GPRC) proposition that allows all Virgin Mobile customers to earn 10 paise credit for every minute of an incoming call.

Virgin Mobile has announced its "vTrendy" phone, a sleek, color-screen FM Radio-enabled phone claimed to be one of a kind in bundling a unique offer at such an affordable price.

At around 65gms, the "vTrendy" appears sleek and comes with a 65K color screen, speaker phone, organizer, FM radio, stereo headset, up to 500 contacts phone-book memory, up to 150 additional contacts on RUIM or SIM card, and Long Messaging Service (LMS). As a value-add, the phone offers access to Virgin Mobile's VAS data portal aka 'Vbytes' wherein users can get unlimited to Virgin Mobile select content and other applications for just Rs 5 per day.

The handset is now available across 15,000 outlets nationally and 1,000 modern retail outlets including The Mobile Store, Univercell, Croma, Convergem, Big C, Vishal Mega Mart, Vijay Sales, and Sangeetha, among others. Tata Teleservices will offer wireless data services for Qualcomm's BREW solution to subscribers of its "Virgin Mobile" brand in India.

Qualcomm's BREW solution will ensure delivery of Virgin Mobile's latest content to mid- and high-end devices.

Virgin Mobile will leverage the BREW platform to present a full range of innovative and easy-to-use mobile content services, including entertainment (gaming, sports, astrology), music and messaging applications.

Additionally, Virgin Mobile will make available innovative offers to its subscribers such as unlimited access to Virgin Mobile's unique V-Bytes data portal for a daily charge of only Rs.5, whereincustomers can access free Virgin selected content and other targeted applications.

"Our target audience of tech savvy youth in India desires the latest mobile applications and services so that they can enjoy the power of their devices," said Jamie Heywood, deputy CEO for Virgin Mobile India.
