New series of laptops by Lenovo

Lenovo has introduced a new range of notebook PCs with five choices of screen size and a diverse palette of color, style and design. The range is loaded with features including expanded facial recognition for simple and convenient log-in, gesture recognition for ease of use, one-key rescue system to recover data with just one touch and High-definition entertainment features.
Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India announced on the occasion, "Having received an overwhelming response to our consumer PC range, we are investing further in the Indian market with the launch of this impressive new product range. The consumer PC segment is one-third of the total PC market in India and is growing at a very fast pace. We are riding this wave and we believe this new range offers the best mix of great looking products with great features to consumers."Lenovo's new product range comprises of the U330, a premium, high-end, ultra-thin and ultra-light laptop; the Y330 a mainstream notebook aimed at high-definition entertainment and the S9 and S10 which are compact, fashionable Netbooks designed for everyday computing. This is rounded up by two other laptops namely the G230 and the G430 which are aimed at the budget market. Each of these laptops come equipped with features such as One-key rescue, Bright Vision, Dolby, Veriface, frameless screen and all the engineering of Lenovo.

The U330 comes with a deep blue glossy cover, 13 x 0.9 inch dimensions and weighs 1.95 kgs. The U330 is equipped with the latest version of VeriFace facial recognition technology, Dolby Home Theatre and touch-sensitive multimedia controls. The notebook comes equipped with HDMI with DDR III, ultra slim LED backlit display panel and a built-in DVD burner.It also includes switchable graphics to enable the user to run energy-efficient integrated graphics while on battery power and switch to high-definition discrete graphics for more powerful performance when “plugged in.” For security it comes with Lenovo’s Active Protection System (APS), a feature pioneered on ThinkPad notebooks, which helps protect the data on the hard drive if the notebook should fall. If the operating system should crash, users can recover their data at the touch of a button with the One-Key Rescue System. The U330 starts at Rs. 63,990.
