PDF Support for Google Docs

f you've been using Google Docs a lot, so much so that you find it indispensable, you've probably also made a list of tweaks for the application by now. Does "no PDF uploads" feature on the list?

In case you're missing the point here: Google Docs is a free Web-based word processor and spreadsheet, which allows you to share and collaborate online. It accepts most popular file formats, including DOC, XLS, ODT, ODS, RTF, CSV, PPT, and others.Apparently, there are many users who've been missing the PDF format in the above list. Taking into consideration several requests to include sharing of the popular format, the company has announced that importing and sharing PDF files using Google Docs is now possible.

Users can now upload, preview,and share PDF files using Google Docs. While you can't edit them yet, you can copy and paste text.

To get started, users can simply click the Upload button in the Docs home toolbar, and select a PDF file from their computer.
