HKC is a brand new company that hails from Hong Kong and brings the first dual-SIM PDAs to run on Windows Mobile. The PDAs are named HKC W1000 and
HKC G1000, and have the same looks and features, except for the fact that the W1000 has one GSM and one CDMA SIM slot, while the G1000 packs two GSM SIM slots.
The dual-SIM feature allows a device to operate on two different networks at the same time. This is great for those who usually need two handsets and two different phone numbers (mainly businessmen), as they only have to carry one handset.
HKC W1000 and G1000 run on Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional, and besides the dual-SIM technology, they bring features like: a 2.8 inch 240 x 320 pixels touchscreen display, a 2.0 Megapixel camera, 2.5G connectivity, Microsoft Office Mobile, quick access to stock market info, Music player, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB, TI OMAP 850 CPU at 200 MHz, 64MB of RAM, 256MB of built-in memory and microSD card support. The smartphones measure 117 x 61 x 16.4 mm (4.60 x 2.40 x 0.64 inches) and weigh 140 grams (4.93 ounces).HKC made available a video with HKC G1000, which comes with a "soundtrack" rather more suitable for striptease than for presenting a mobile device.
