MSI has launched two motherboards -- the K9N2 Diamond and K9N2 SLI Platinum -- both Hybrid SLI technology-ready.
The K9N2 Diamond is based on the nForce780a chipset and supports 3-way SLI technology while the K9N2 SLI Platinum utilizes the nForce750a chipset.
The K9N2 is 3-way SLI technology-ready; the technology combines 3 VGA cards to process tasks, bringing higher 3D gaming resolution with more detailed DX10 effects as also enhanced 3D frame rate for a smoother gaming experience.
The K9N2 SLI Platinum, as the name suggests, supports only SLI technology. However through PCI-E bandwidth upgrade to Gen2, the motherboard can raise performance in heavy loading status.
Both mainboards come with MSI's Circu-Pipe design capable of reducing high temperature of the chipset and MOSFET or Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor. They feature large-capacity PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) capacitors based on Hi-c CAP (Highly-conductive polymerized Capacitor), which is a high-grade capacitor offering low impedance and high ripple current.
The mainboards have different specifications; the Diamond has an extreme performance design while the Platinum has high C/P value product.Specifications of K9N2 Diamond:

The street price of the K9N2 Diamond is Rs 16,500 while that of the K9N SLi Platinum is Rs 12,000.
