AUO recently announced a 24-inch full-HD 1080p LCD panel aimed at the combined usage of viewing high definition videos and desktop monitor applications.

The 1080p display capability provides high image quality for Blu-ray video playback or HDTV viewing and solves the problem of distorted image when playing such high definition content on LCDs with conventional 16:10 1680x1050 WSXGA+ or 1920x1200 WUXGA resolutions.
