Kingston Technology has announced a slew of flash products at Image Today 2008, a international exhibition for photography, laptop, mobile, and office equipments, which is to be held at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.
Image Today 2008 is a three-day exhibition starting today, July 25, and ending on July 27.

Kingston's flash products include a full range of memory cards such as CF, SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC, and various stylish USB drives.

Some products showcased are :Kingston's DataTraveler Vault - Privacy Edition, is an ultra-secure, waterproof drive that encrypts 100 percent of data with 256-AES hardware-based encryption and protects it with an enforced complex password. It costs Rs. 17,720 for 8GB.
The DataTraveler Vault is a waterproof USB Drive and offers 256-AES hardware-based encryption and file access protection software to protect sensitive data. It costs Rs. 16790 for 8GB.

Kingston's DataTraveler Locker USB Flash drive protects data with 256-bit AES hardware encryption and has a swivel design. It costs Rs. 5600 for 8GB.

Software giant Microsoft has announced the launch of their Silverlight 1.0 technology product in the Indian market.
This software technology is part of their strategy to deliver great user experiences across the web, PC and mobile devices.
Experts put this technology in direct competition to Adobe Flash which has been delivering interactive media on the web since years now.
Microsoft said in a statement that using Silverlight, businesses in the country can offer web applications that are far richer and more interactive than ever before.
Microsoft is already providing integrated solutions for popular web browsers including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
