
The latest generation of Capture NX provides photography enthusiasts with a suite of tools operated by simple yet visually intuitive controls to streamline the photo editing process. Capture NX 2 uses the U Point technology to give photographers access to powerful Control Points that enhance color, exposure, and other image quality settings.
Capture NX 2 offers several new technologies, including the new Selection Control Point that places a commanding suite of image editing tools at the user's fingertips to simplify and accelerate the image editing experience. Capture NX 2 also adds an advanced Auto Retouch Brush for seamless retouching, an improved yet simple user interface, updated menus, browser functionality, and improved performance, claims Nikon.
The company says that users can utilize Capture NX 2 for any workflow, whether they choose JPEG, TIFF files, or RAW (NEF) processing capabilities. With a minimallearning curve, users will be able to take advantage of simplified image browsing, selection and labeling, and improved batch-processing capabilities.
Users can download the 60-day free trial (Mac and PC versions) and sample Capture NX 2 here. The manufacturer's suggested retail price in the US is around $110 to upgrade from version 1, or around $180 for the full 2nd version. The software will be available for purchase in India next month.
