This is cool trick I often use while writing articles. If you often see yourself using certain specific colours to bring attention to certain words and sections, you'll love this.
Often, in our role as typists, we don't like to lift our hands while furiously beating upon the keys. Microsoft has realised this, and has provided a wonderful feature that helps us typists to continue beating upon the keys (and not use the mouse). The option is called Customize Keyboard, which allows for tailoring keyboard shortcuts to one's liking. Here's how you do it1. Go to Tools | Customize, then click on the Commands tab.2. Click the Keyboard button below.3. Under the Categories box, we want to go to All Commands; for that, click on File and hit A on the keyboard to run down to All Commands quickly.
4. On the right Commands column, hit CO on the keyboard to quickly get Color: as the option.5. Now assuming you wanted to assign Red to a keyboard shortcut, click on Auto in the drop-down menu and scroll down to Red -- and select it.
