Some people want to keep there desktop clean like me, and to do that they either remove all icons except the recycle bin or uncheck the "Show Desktop Icons" ( by right clicking on dekstop ) . The later technique is good but it uses system resources to do this task .

Here is a better option, remove all the icons and then to remove the recycle bin icon , do the following :

(1) Run > type "Regedit" .

(2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Explorer / Desktop / NameSpace(3) Click on the "Recycle Bin" string in the right hand pane. Hit Del, click OK.

Some people would also like to rename the recycle bin to show off , here is how to do it :

(1) Open Regedit .

(2) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / CLSID / {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

(3) Change the name "Recycle Bin" to whatever you want (don't type any quotes).
