If you were wondering about the Sins of a Solar Empire title that Stardock's CEO talked about in his rant about PC game piracy, now's your chance to sample it. Stardock has made a single-player demo of the game available, and you can grab it over at FileShack. The demo weighs in at 536MB, and it contains 90 minutes of playing time spanning four tutorials, two smaller maps, and one larger randomly generated map from the real-time strategy space game.According to Stardock CEO Brad Wardell, Sins was developed on a small budget and comes with no copy protection, yet it sold 200,000 copies in its first month of release. Wardell names the game as an example of how titles developed with actual game buyers in mind can do better than those developed for hardcore gamers, a sizable portion of whom are also pirates.
