Want the best of the iPhone's media playback capabilities without the phone? The iPod Touch offers just that, with all the advantages of the iPhone's musical interface and touch-sensitive screen. This model also has the first decent video player that any Apple handheld device offers thanks to its 3.5" (diagonal) screen. In this review, we also look at the latest iPod Nano, which has a video feature of its very own.

The iPhone's manufacturing quality and slender design are major selling points. The iPod Touch takes this a step further with a thickness of only 8mm. The flash memory has been improved and allows for a 16-GB capacity, which seems strange for devices that are getting thinner and thinner.

The iPod Nano is even slimmer with a thickness of only 6.5mm. This, coupled with the fact that it weighs only 50 grams, means it can easily get lost in your pocket.
